Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

We drive down to Tsagaan Suvarga cliffs, the ancient bottom of the Asiatic sea created this picturesque cliff more than 90 million years ago. The area is perfect for you to do some walking around, taking some photographs once you are down at the bottom of the cliffs. 450 km

On this beautiful day, we continue our drive to the Gobi. We transfer to a local ger camp. After lunch, we drive to the mountain and visit Yolyn Am Gorge. This beautiful valley is named after the Lammergeyer vulture. We take a good walk inside the canyon for an hour and return to our vehicle. Then we head back to our ger camp. 380 km

Our journey starts with a drive through the mountains. We arrive at 200 m tall Khongor Sand Dunes, the most important sand mass of Gobi Gurvan Saïkhan National Park. 200 km

This morning, we leave sand dunes behind and drive to the Flaming cliffs, where dinosaur skeletons and eggs are found. During the sunset, the cliffs change color between vibrant shades of orange and red that seems to be on fire. Enjoy this stunning view while relaxing on the cliffside. 150 km

Ongi Ruined monastery was home to more than 5 000 people once. While driving towards this monastery, we pass through big open spaces with no obstacles and a marvelous view. We transfer to the ger camp. 280 km

Starting our day early, we drive to the ancient capital of Mongols in the 13th century, Kharkhorin. In modern times, instead of the capital, there is a simple small town in its place. We will visit a good museum with remains found from the old capital and also visit the Erdene Zuu monastery, built with remains of the ancient capital. 300 km

This morning, drive deeper into Central Mongolia. We visit a sleeping volcano that erupted 5000 years ago and created a lake called Terkhiin Tsagaan. There are easy paths to follow to the top of the volcano. Then we continue to drive to the beautiful lake- Terkhiin Tsagaan. We are still in the ancient volcanic area. 310 km

Continuing our drive towards the North, we visit the most north getaway town – Murun. 350 km

Starting our morning with a hearty breakfast, we drive to one of the most sought destinations, Khuvsgul lake. Also known as the Blue Pearl of Mongolia, this lake is a 130km long 30 km wide 260m deep freshwater lake. First, we transfer to our Ger camp. After, we take a good walk to a Shamanic ritual place. We also get to relax near the lakeshore and enjoy the view. 140km

Early start with breakfast Our trip through Gobi, Khorgo, and Khuvsgul will end. We will rest at a hotel in Tosontsengel town and begin our journey to the Great Altai Mountains tomorrow. 410 km

Early start with breakfast and drive to Khyargas lake. The lake and its surrounding 332.800 ha protected area were established as a nature reserve in 2000. The lake is 75 km long, 31 km wide with a surface area of 1481 км². The average depth is 50 m and 80 m at its deepest. The lake is a magnet for migratory birds including its island. The lake’s location is on the way to the adventure travel routes of western Mongolia. 350km

Weight allowance
Mongolia’s domestic flight regulation restricts total allowed weight per person per flight to 15 kg total, including your carry on. The extra weight charge goes at about $2.5 per kg.

Hotel Khuvsgul lake
Set within 600 metres of Sukhbaatar Square and 700 metres of Chinggis Khan Statue, Khuvsgul Lake Hotel offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ulaanbaatar.
Accommodation at Ulgii
Twelwe traditionally gers and 3 houses with private bathroom, provide accommodations for up to fourty guests.The Altai lodge located about 2 km west of the Bayan-Ulgii airport and 8 km from the town of Ulgii.
The lodge has also modern style restaurant, lodge is with modern bathroom facilities including flush toilets and comfortable showers with warm and cold running water fed by a solar 220w power system, and its own clean water deep drilled well. The lodge has full mobile cell phone accessibility.

Transportation
Land transportation is provided by Toyota Land Cruiser jeeps seating 4 passangers per vehicle. Some roads can be bumby and hard but our drivers are some of the most experienced and reliable in the country.
Day 15 Departure
Drive to Namarjin valley (Tsambagarav national park). Visit local kazakh family. Drive back to Ulgii. Overnight back to ger camp in Altai lodge.
